Seeds of A. nilotica contained 19.6% protein and 15.9% fiber. The fatty acids, as detd. by gas-liq. chromatog., consisted of 15.2% C16 acids, 83.4% C18 acids, and 1.4% C20 acids. Linoleic acid (48.7%) was the major fatty acid, followed by oleic acid (26.3%).
