Abstract The kernels of mango contain on the dry basis fat 10.7, starch 72.80, sugar 1.07, protein 9.5, tannins, 0.11, ash 3.66, SiO2 0.414, Fe2O3 0.0324, CaO 0.2268, MgO 0.337, P2O5 0.659, SO4 0.227, CO3 0.096, Na2O 0.281, and K2O 1.307%. The fatty acid compn. of the oil is capric 0.15, lauric 2.74, myristic 5.07, palmitic 11.21, stearic 31.06, arachidic 1.71, oleic 43.83, linoleic 4.13, and unsaponifiable matter 0.1%. The kernels or oil meal is suitable for livestock feeding.
