Exploring Phylogenetic Relationships between Hundreds of Plant Fatty Acids Synthesized by Thousands of Plants. more details ...
Abstract The oil content and the fatty acids composition by GLC of the Clitoria ternata L. seeds were analysed. The oil content was lower than the ones found in common oil seed plants. The fatty acids composition was following: palmitic 16.7%, estearic 10.6%, oleic 51.0%, linoleic 15.6%, araquidic 3.5%, and behenic 2.6%. Its composition resemble the peanut oil, except in the fatty acids content.
